Well, as you can tell by the two previous posts I have found a new fun way to post pictures. I happened to find Smilebox on someone elses blog and just tried it for fun. Before Riley got here I had a little more time to do some real scrapbooking. Since Riley has gotten here all of my scrapbooking stuff hasn't been touched hardly at all. I am really happy with the program so far. I can create lots of different things with it and then save them to print out later. I am excited to get to scrapbook without it taking a lot of time and also turning my entire house into an art room. That would compete to much with all of Riley's toys. Anyways just wanted to share my new favorite thing. Hope you like it.

Smith Family Christmas

Today we had Smith Family Christmas. We had a great time! Huge thank you to Aunt Rachel for hosting. We loved having it at your house.

Today Riley got to experience a couple of firsts. One of them was that he got to meet his Great-Uncle Dale. Here they are studying each other. I think they were both ok with one another. Aunt Sarah and Uncle Dale gave Riley his first velour sort of track suit and I can't wait for him to wear it. He is going to be sooooo cute! Thanks you guys!

Riley's other first was getting to open Christmas presents! He LOVED tearing the paper off and he got some great stuff! Christmas is going to be so much more fun with a baby. I am so excited!

And now for some of the cutest pictures ever! Grammy and Riley had a quick photo shoot and look at these to pics they are just adorable. Riley certainly loves his Grammy!

I must say that I married into a wonderful extended family. I am reminded of that so much around the holidays. I love knowing that Riley is going to grow up in such a loving family. Thanks Smith's for letting me be a part of your family. I love you all!

This 1st video is of one of Riley's favorite things to do.

We introduced cereal again over Thanksgiving and that has been on the menu twice a day ever since. Well, last night Riley thought he would try something new.

He is just so cute and does new funny things every day. The face that the video ends on is a new face as of this week.

Riley did turn 6 months old today! YAY. Be looking for that post. It might not get here til this weekend, but it is coming I promise. Have a great week!

Fun with Will...

Well, as I mentioned in a post last week my good friend Will was coming over to keep Riley and they were going to have a photo shoot. From the looks of it they had a pretty good time. Here they are looking like they are having fun.

Apparently Riley had worn will out. I am glad Riley was there to document him sleeping on the job!

Well, I say they had fun...from what I heard Riley was testing him to see if he could get his bottle sooner than the time mommy said to eat. Well, Will was a sucker and gave in.




Thanks Will for playing with Riley! He asks every night when you are coming back. He said he was going to hold your gloves hostage until you come back.

Saturday night Riley was soooo tired that he just fell asleep sitting up in Russell's lap. It was sooo sweet.

Well, I am sort of caught up. I hope you enjoyed the pictures. I promised to do better about documenting Christmas stuff. We are going to be very busy this year. I will probably have some more pictures to post this weekend. Will is coming over to babysit tonight while I go play Bunko with the girls. He requested that I leave the camera. On Saturday our good friend Caleb was in town with the OC b-ball team. We went and watched him be a part of the coaching staff. Riley had so much fun. He met Caleb's parents and loved watching the game. Here is a cute picture of R in Tommy's lap.

Thanksgiving and other stuff

Hey there Blog world. Sorry for the gap in posting, other things have just gotten in the way. I am going to be doing this in a series of four posts since picasa will only load 4 pictures at a time. Anyone know a better way to do that?

Anyways, for Thanksgiving this year Riley and I spent the whole week in Tyler at my parents and Russell came into town on Tuesday after he got out of school. Riley enjoyed getting sooo much attention from Nana and Poppy as well as getting to play with Granny a lot. He loves his Granny a whole bunch, I think they have a special thing going on. Russell and I actually got to go on date for the first time in about 6 months. It was to celebrate my 26th birthday. I am getting so old. We really enjoyed getting to do that. I think we might try and do that more often.

Russell's parents also live in Tyler so Riley got double the attention and also met some new family at Smith Thanksgiving. He loved that as well. He was the center of everything. I was worried there were going to be a few fist fights break out over who got to hold him. Luckily no one was physically injured. I really didn't do a good job of documenting Riley's first thanksgiving, but I know he enjoyed himself. He was pooped Saturday night after we got home. Enjoy the pictures.

So I forgot bibs. These are the ones my dad got on his first trip to the store. He didn't really see the problem with these bibs.

We started eating a little cereal twice a day while we were in Tyler.

Kansas

Saturday morning we went to brunch and barry's car was in the shop so we all sqeezed in bekah's. Barry is not sitting in a real seat, he is in the trunk area. Riley had lots of great entertainment back there though. Thanks Uncle Barry!

Frdays are "special Friday lunch" in the Brown family so we took Caleb lunch up to school. This is what Riley did the whole time. I guess he wasn't hungry!
